ADHD Coaching & Mentoring for Late Teens and Young Adults

Are you tired of being the project manager for your grown child

If you're here, you've probably spent years being the alarm clock, the deadline reminder, the one asking "did you remember to [enter any number of possibilities here]? "

And you thought going into higher education would make things easier!

Instead, the responsibilities multiplied and the meltdowns haven't stopped.

You're stuck between wanting to help and knowing they need to figure this out themselves.

ADHD support for young people

in Dubai and Kuwait (& those venturing out abroad)

I work with young people aged 17–21 who are navigating university, early careers, and the overwhelming jump to adult life.

Many of my clients are based in or where raised in Dubai or Kuwait, where academic pressure is intense and many have aspiration and support for neurodivergence is limited.

Whether your young person was recently diagnosed with ADHD, has been managing it for years, or is showing clear signs of executive dysfunction without a formal diagnosis, I can help.

I also work with AuDHD young adults and understand the nuances of overlapping neurodivergence (I'm raising two neurodivergent teens myself).

"The goal isn't to manage their ADHD for them - it's to help them manage it themselves."

What they're actually struggling with:

Your young adult is smart and capable and you know that.

But they're also:

  • Starting everything at the last possible minute (or missing deadlines entirely)

  • Sleeping through alarms and missing morning lectures

  • Living in a chaotic room that adds to their overwhelm

  • Having Sunday night anxiety about the week ahead

  • Struggling to stay on top of basic adult tasks like laundry, cooking, or managing money

  • Losing motivation and wondering if they're on the right path at all

And when you try to help they shut down because the truth is, they just don't want to hear it from you and that's not your fault.

Most of us get into the habit of 'telling' them what to do when helping them to understand their brain and then make conscious adjustments works far better.

How ADHD coaching actually helps

This isn't tutoring or study skills training.

I don't teach them how to take better notes or cram for exams.

Instead, I work 1-on-1 with your young adult to build the executive function skills their ADHD brain didn't come with naturally.

This isn't dependent on having had an ADHD assessment in Dubai - if they're struggling with executive dysfunction, we can work together.

Over 12 weeks of weekly 40-minute sessions, we focus on what's actually getting in their way

Here's what we work on:

Practical systems that stick:

  • Time management that works with their ADHD

  • Creating an environment that supports focus and calm

  • Planning ahead without the paralysis

  • Understanding their unique attention style and energy patterns

Emotional regulation and confidence:

  • Managing the anxiety and overwhelm that comes with ADHD

  • Dealing with rejection sensitive dysphoria (RSD)

  • Building self-esteem and belief in their own abilities

  • Learning the type of rest that suits their energy style so they can actually function

Nervous system support:

  • Mindfulness practices that help them regulate and reduce ADHD symptoms

  • Movement strategies that boost motivation

  • Better sleep routines that actually work

We start with whatever is most urgent for them right now, then build from there.

Everything is tailored to where they are and what they need.

What success looks like after 3 months

Parents tell me they see their young adult:

  • Keeping their room consistently tidy (without being nagged)

  • Getting to bed at a reasonable time and waking up without drama

  • Submitting work before deadlines instead of in a panic at 2am

  • Feeling calmer overall, with fewer emotional meltdowns

  • Moving their body regularly, which helps with motivation and mood

  • Showing up to things on time with keys, wallet, and everything they need

Will this work if they don't want coaching?

I find that coaching works best when the young adult genuinely wants support.

That said, I understand that many teenagers are hesitant or unsure about the whole idea.

If your child isn't sure about coaching, we can start with an intro call plus one trial session to see if we vibe.

No pressure, no long-term commitment until we all feel it's a good fit.

Working with an ADHD coach in the UAE who gets it

I live in Dubai, and I've worked with young adults across the Middle East as well as in the UK.

I understand the cultural context, the academic pressure, and what it's like to be neurodivergent in environments that don't always accommodate differences.

I'm also a parent to an AuDHD teenager and another neurodivergent child, so I deeply understand both sides of this.

I know what it's like to watch your capable kid struggle with things that seem simple and I know how to help them build the skills they need to thrive independently.
